Members of the Board of Directors of International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC) – the international trade finance arm of the Islamic Development Bank (#IsDB) Group have endorsed a recommendation by Chairman of the ITFC Board of Directors, H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, and approved the appointment of Eng. Adeeb Y. Al Aama as Chief Executive Officer. On this occasion, H.E. Dr Muhammad Al Jasser has expressed gratitude to the ITFC Board Members for their support and wished Eng. Adeeb success in his new role. ‘’ The appointment of Eng. Adeeb Y. Al Aama comes at an important juncture for ITFC and the IsDB Group as the international trade is undergoing deep transformations to spur inclusive growth and accelerate shared prosperity. Eng. Adeeb’s vast experience on the global landscape will be instrumental in driving ITFC’s mission to enhance trade and economic growth across our member countries’’, emphasized H.E. Dr Muhammad Al Jasser. He also expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Mr. Nazeem Noordali for efficiently performing the function of the Officer-in-Charge, Chief Executive Officer of ITFC. Eng. Adeeb Y. Al Aama brings over 30 years of experience across multinational corporations and government sectors. He has extensive experience in international trade, energy markets, strategic planning, and economics among others. His distinguished career includes serving as Saudi Arabia’s Governor for OPEC and Deputy Minister for Kingdom Affairs in OPEC and Global Oil Markets, where he played a pivotal role in shaping global energy policies and strengthening economic cooperation. Eng. Adeeb Al Aama was a trusted advisor to three Saudi Energy Ministers, the last of which is the current Minister, HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, leading high-level negotiations and driving strategic initiatives in the global oil market. He has also held executive roles at Saudi Aramco and Saudi Petroleum Overseas Ltd., where he contributed to expanding trade partnerships and optimizing energy market operations.

Partnership for entrepreneurial & leadership excellence: The Islamic Development Bank Institute (IsDBI) and Prince Mohammed Bin Salman College of Business & Entrepreneurship - MBSC have announced a strategic collaboration to foster entrepreneurial skills and leadership excellence in #IsDB Member Countries and Muslim Communities. The partnership will lead to the launch of two innovative programs: the Entrepreneurial Mindset Development Program and the Strategic Business Leadership Program. Dr. Sami Al-Suwailem, Acting Director General of IsDBI, and Dr. Dr. Zeger Degraeve, Dean of MBSC, signed the collaboration agreements during a ceremony at the IsDB Headquarters in Jeddah on 29 January 2025.
