Statement from the European Union Ambassador on the occasion of Eid Al Ahda.

BRUSSELS, Belgium, September 21, 2015/APO (African Press Organization)/ --

Ambassador Tomas Ulicny, Head of Delegation of the European Union to Sudan said on the occasion of Hajj and the Feast of Eid Al Adha:

"Eid Mubarak and Haj Mabroor".

"I extend my greetings and congratulate those performing Hajj and celebrating the holy feast of Eid Al Adha."
"As Muslims celebrate Eid, they will also commemorate Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son by distributing food to those less fortunate.  The European Union joins the Sudanese people in providing relief efforts to assist those citizens most in need for basic food, shelter and medicine as a result of the ongoing conflicts in Darfur, Blue Nile and South Kordofan.  I hope your prayers for peace, reconciliation and forgiveness will be accepted not only for Sudan but will extend to  include South Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Libya, Yemen and that peace will prevail at the end.  Let our efforts go this year in serving, supporting and standing up for those in need of our humanity and care."
