An IHR (International Health Regulations) Joint External Evaluation mission has been ongoing in Kenya from February 27 to March 3, 2017

The ceremony will be held at Radisson Blu Hotel from 10 am, March 3, 2017

GENEVA, Switzerland, March 2, 2017/APO/ --

An IHR (International Health Regulations) Joint External Evaluation mission has been ongoing in Kenya from February 27 to March 3, 2017.

The Joint External Evaluation process is intended for countries to:

  • to assess the country capacity to prevent, detect, and rapidly respond to public health threats
  • to measure country specific status and progress in achieving the targets
  • to identify progress made and ensure any improvements in capacity are sustained
  • allow countries to identify the most urgent needs within their health security system,
  • to prioritize opportunities for enhanced preparedness, response and action, and
  • to engage with current and prospective donors and partners to target resources effectively.

We would like to invite you to the closing ceremony which will give an overview and summary of the findings from the mission.

The ceremony will be held at Radisson Blu Hotel from 10 am, March 3, 2017.
