The funding aims to contribute to children’s rights to identity through the improvement and standardization of the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) system and thereby, protect them from violence, abuse, exploitation and ensure their access to basic services. The support comes at a critical time when Ethiopia established nationwide a fully functional civil and vital registration system of birth, death, marriage and divorce in August this year.
