British High Commissioner Dianna Melrose joined other high commissioners and ambassadors around the world in making a short video highlighting their key priorities for the year ahead. The videos coincided with the Queen’s Speech at the opening of Parliament in London on 18th May which set out the UK government’s plans.

The High Commissioner said:

“This year in Tanzania the UK is focused on partnership. First, prosperity: to increase trade & investment, make it easier to do business and create jobs & opportunities to benefit both Tanzania and the UK. Second: a scaled up partnership to drive out corruption through better investigation and prosecution. Third, to bring peace and security to Tanzania’s neighbour Burundi.”
